This wine opened yesterday after cellaring at 7-8 deg Celsius for years is perfect. Structured, nose is rich and demanding and the palate crisp, clean with hint of Semillon butteriness. I am amazed at how well this is aging. We also opened a 2014 Steenberg Black Swan cellared alongside the Isliedh which had turned a colour of pale ale, lost its bouquet and structure. The palate was like a diluted rinse of the wine that was. Well done Cape Point Vineyards.
